Student Entry Deadline: October 31, 2018

Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)premier scholarship program. Each year, more than 40,000 high school students (grades 9 thru 12, enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States and its territories) compete for their share of more than $2.1 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by expressing themselves in audio-essay program in regards to an annual democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.
